Central East LHIN Mental Health and Addictions Strategic Aim Coordinating Council

The Central East LHIN Mental Health and Addictions Strategic Aim Coordinating Council is a voluntary affiliation of 15 individuals representing acute, community, primary care mental health and addictions providers across the Central East LHIN.  In addition, three individuals residing in the Central East LHIN who self-identify as having either “lived experience” or experience as a supporter of a person who is dealing with either a Mental Health and/or Addictions issue are members of the Coordinating Council.

The role of the Council is to oversee the strategic plan for achieving the Central East LHIN’s MH&A Strategic Aim as contained in the LHIN's 2016-2019 Integrated Health Service Plan and to monitor its implementation.

The Council makes recommendations to the LHIN regarding ongoing adjustments and the incorporation of evidence based solutions from a Quality Improvement perspective that will serve to achieve the MH&A Aim.  The Council also has a mandate to review all materials and deliverables produced by the project lead organizations and potential task-oriented working groups for key priority projects related to the MH&A Aim.
