Health System Improvement Pre-Proposal (HSIP) Process - updated April 1, 2017
On April 1, 2017, the Central East Local Health Integration Network (Central East LHIN) launched an enhanced web-based Health System Improvement Pre-Proposal (HSIP) process to support all LHIN-funded Health Service Providers (HSPs) with the submission of HSIP funding requests for the 2017/18 fiscal year.
Health system improvements are the additions or enhancements to programs offered by health service providers to improve the access and care provided to health consumers. Previously, a Health System Improvement Pre-Proposal (HSIP) process was collectively developed by Ontario Local Health Integration Networks (LHINs) to facilitate and standardize the way health system improvement pre-proposals were submitted to LHINs. This process supported LHIN-funded health service providers, in the early stages of planning, to forward a simplified summary of any proposed improvement initiative to minimize the impact on HSP time and resources.
Now, through the launch of the enhanced web-based process, HSPs are able to easily complete, submit, and track the status of HSIP submissions as their organization continues to align their strategic and service planning within the overall Central East LHIN framework, with specific reference to the priorities identified in the 2016-2019 Integrated Health Service Plan.
The Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer/Financial Lead of each Central East LHIN-funded health service provider organization has been provided a user ID and password in order to log into the HSIP system. Organizations that are funded by the Central East LHIN will be maintained within the HSIP system.
