Goals and Achievements

In any normal business cycle, everything starts with a plan.  The strategic plan for an organization routinely outlines the activities and initiatives that will structure the work of the organization for a specified period of time.  The Central East LHIN business planning cycle reflects the work of the LHIN and is based upon a continuous cycle of Community Engagement, Planning, Funding & Allocation and Accountability & Performance Monitoring. 

LHIN Business Cycle

In the Central East LHIN, the strategic plan is the three-year Integrated Health Service Plan, further supported each year by an Annual Business Plan, both of which are developed in partnership with stakeholders who deliver health care services and those that receive them.  

Together, the two documents detail the shared goals of the local health care system and its stakeholders - funders, providers, clinicians, patients, consumers, residents, caregivers, community leaders - and how they will be attained.  Each year, the Annual Report provides a record of what has been achieved.
